Privacy Policy
This policy describes the data boundaries implemented in StockPilot AI for Shopify merchants.
Data we collect
StockPilot stores Shopify shop domain, encrypted Admin API access token, product and variant metadata, inventory levels, recent order line quantities, supplier rules entered by the merchant, and app billing status.
Data we avoid
The MVP is designed to avoid storing customer names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, payment details, and message content. Shopify privacy webhooks acknowledge customer requests without retaining customer PII.
How data is used
Inventory, sales, supplier, and cost data are used to calculate reorder points, stockout risk, overstock risk, confidence scores, and merchant-facing explanations.
AI processing
Core purchasing math is deterministic. Optional AI is used only to explain calculated forecasts and is instructed not to invent numbers.
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling revokes the token and marks the store uninstalled. Shopify shop redact requests delete the store record and cascade related inventory records.
